"Blue Ashtray"
Acrylic, charcoal pencil, pencil, and colored pencil on canvas, 18" x 24". For sale for $50. Painted in 1997. Signed and dated on back. Titled "Blue Ashtray" after the color scheme and after the fact that during the final stages of executing this painting, I intentionally dumped my ashtray onto the piece. What stuck, I left. The dark areas on the painting resulted, and are textured (see detail photos below). Entire painting is finished with a spray fixative.
