"Hands-On Experience"
Acrylic, pencil, and colored pencil on canvas, 36" x 48". Painted in 1996. Signed and dated on back. For sale for $200. The light brown "smeared" areas actually consist of dirt from the yard where I lived at the time, in Flagstaff, AZ. The blue "blobs" and handprints are of dirt and volcanic cinders from the yard, mixed with blue acrylic paint and acrylic matte medium. The "blobs" are three dimensional and rise a good 3 to 5 cm from the canvas. The entire painting is finished with a spray fixative.
This painting cannot be shipped due to its large size; a custom box would have to be made to contain it, which in itself would be expensive, then the shipping costs would be prohibitive. However, if you REALLY want this painting and are not located within or near the Phoenix area so that you cannot pick it up yourself, I CAN obtain quotes for the packaging and shipping of the piece to your location. Just be warned that it will most likely cost you more to have it packaged and shipped to you than the list price of the painting at $200!
